The point of archelogy is radically changing. Until the last few decades, archaeology has all been about the important finds — temples, palaces, hopefully spectacular finds like King Tut’s tomb. But today its focus is turning to the common people, “a switch from the 1 percent to the 99 percent ,” as one researcher put it.
