Wind turbine blades play a crucial part in clean energy generation, but the sheer number of them that eventually will need to be decommissioned will strain current repurposing and recycling capabilities. An Iowan farmer is proposing a solution: fence posts for agricultural use, and even dock posts. He says the posts are stronger and more durable than traditional posts, they eliminate the need for constant maintenance, and, if they can be mass produced, they would be less expensive than current fencing materials.
