\"SueSue Jones Johnson,<\/strong> a native of Mobile, Ala., graduated Huntingdon College in 1964 with a B.A. degree in art and English. She later studied under the late Anne Winslow of Tampa, Fla., and she has exhibited her art during Charleston’s Spoleto Festival USA, at the South Carolina State Fair, and several other venues in Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. Sue, an ardent reader, retired from the Charleston County Library System in 2007 as a readers’ adviser. She and her husband, the journalist\/author Skip Johnson, live in Charleston.<\/p>\n

\"JENNAJenna Teves <\/strong>is a Charleston based painter and face painter. Her artwork explores and celebrates the natural and human landscapes of the Lowcountry and other inspiring areas. A native of California, and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she has called Charleston home for over a decade. She is also a practicing psychologist.<\/p>\n

\"LukeLuke Platt<\/strong> has been capturing nature’s secrets on photographic film since the mid-1980s. Shooting primarily with a Mamiya RZ medium-format camera, Platt captures quiet, resonant moments in locations ranging from the ACE Basin National Refuge, the Francis Marion National Forest, and the southern Appalachian Mountains.<\/p>\n

Platt has won awards for his photography including the Best of Show award in the 1997 Sierra Club Nature Photography Juried Exhibit & Competition. His work has been shown at the Footlight Players Gallery, the Artizom Gallery, and has been displayed at the offices of the Coastal Conservation League in Charleston, South Carolina. One of his images was made into a mural at the Sewee Visitor Center in Awendaw, SC. His photographs are included in both professional and private collections.<\/p>\n

\"SkipSkip Johnson<\/strong> was an award-winning newspaperman for 30 years until he took early retirement in 1992 to become an independent writer. Since then he has written many magazine articles and five nonfiction books, three in print and two ebooks. His in-print books are The Gospel of Yeshua: A Fresh Look at the Life and Teaching of Jesus (Corinthian Books, 2001), A Charleston Primer for Yankees: History with a Southern Accent (Meeting Street Press, 2010), and A Life in Short Stories (Fulton Book, 2024. The ebooks are Timeless Perspectives on Events, Science and Religion, which is a collection of some of his ageless Upward|Onward blogs, and The Year 2020: A Daily Diary of a Debacle, which is a day-by-day accounting of that unforgettably horrid year.<\/p>\n

He is a professional educator, grantwriter, nonprofit founder, consultant and volunteer with a deep commitment to meaningful and collaborative community-building.<\/p>\n

He also has a lengthly background in utilizing technology and media to support positive people, projects, and possibilities in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, and beyond.<\/p>\n
